First Signs of Spring

Wahoo! Blooming Dogwoods, peaking bulbs and discovering plants that came with the house we bought in November when everything had already gone dormant. :) In a brick planter next to the house is stonecrop, peony, asiatic lily and speedwell. During the winter I read garden books to get my winter fix and after planting seeds, I'm crawling the internet to find pictures of what I'll hopefully see if I can get the germination right. :) Since I found so many garden blogs, helpful- I decided to make my own and post things I've found wonderful as well as things that I wish I could have done differently.

I'm crazy excited to see that my mail order thornless blackberries are showing signs of life. The raspberries that I got on end of season clearance in Nov. are already looking bushy with green growth and the blueberries are swelling up on the trails of the raspberries. In front of the fence is candy tuft, phlox and bearded tongue that is getting in position for the spring lift off. :)
